Fa Hien is a cave in Sri Lanka . It is located in the south western part of the country, in the Kalutara district. Fa Hien cave is an important archaeological site with the occurrence of human skeletal remains from the late Pleistocene. The oldest fragments of human bones are the skeletal remains of three children and two adults.

They show a secondary burial, when dead bodies were exposed in the jungle, and placed in graves after they got decomposed and "cleanses" by the predators.
Fa Hien cave was inhabited about 33.000 – 4.750 years ago. It is named after a Buddhist monk Fa Hien.
